When the Professor worries for the Girls' safety, he builds a fifty-foot tall robot, whom he calls Powerpuff Dynamo. However, the robot accidentally damages all of Townsville, but defeats the monster in the end

In this episode, Mojo Jojo creates the ultimate weapons against the Powerpuff Girls—Bizarro equivalents! Enter Brick, Boomer, and Butch: The Rowdyruff Boys. When regular fighting doesn’t work against the Boys, the Girls have to use their feminine wiles to seal a victory.

An accidental bleach spill turns Rainbow the Clown into the malevolent Mr. Mime, and he proceeds to turn Townsville black and white and dead all over (Except Bubbles, who is already in color). The thought of a colorless world has the Girls seeing red, and before he knows it, Mr. Mime's number is up. Features the songs "Rainbow's Theme Song" and "Love Makes The World Go 'Round" written by Robert John “Mutt” Lange, Thomas Chase, Steve Rucker and David Smith.

When the girls accidentally knock their baseball into Mojo Jojo's lair, he does everything he can to keep them there so he can set up a trap

It's campaign time, and the long-sitting Mayor is practicing a speech he has written, chock-full of quotes and anecdotes lifted from some of the most famous speeches throughout American history. Miss Bellum, his aide, questions why he bothered to write it when no one ever runs against him, but the Mayor is not one to just concede to that fact.

Later, the Mayor campaigns within Townsville, but his voice falls on a sleeping Fuzzy Lumpkins out in the woods. When Fuzzy Lumpkins awakens and tells the Mayor to shut up, he touches a nerve with the citizens of The City of Townsville, minus the worried Mayor; this time the Mayor will have to fight for his title. Pretty soon, despite the Mayor's hardest, most conventional attempts at winning popularity against Fuzzy's inactive camp, the votes pour in with an unexpected lean against him. It's Lumpkins' turn in City Hall, much to his own surprise, and the Mayor's out on his head (literally).

Shortly after the election, his role as the mayor of Townsville gets to Fuzzy's head with little concern for decorum. He turns city hall into an actual pigsty, forces long-time administrative aide Ms. Bellum into a country girl routine to his own sensual arousal, and forces the girls to follow his every idiotic desire such as catching his pigs, washing his clothes, and playing music in a quartet with him.

Eventually, the Girls conclude that Fuzzy is even more incompetent at his job than the Mayor had ever been. Soon, the Girls and Ms. Bellum find the mayor and try to convince him that the city needs him to run it again. Seeing as the people had spoken, the Mayor had lost the will to care, even as the girls no longer fight crime, Fuzzy literally turns the Mayor's office into a pigsty, or as his selfishness makes him an embarrassment to his post. It isn't until Miss Bellum mentions Fuzzy wearing his hat that makes him snap out of it. The Mayor, after agreeing, tramples to the hall. Although complimenting some of the things Fuzzy did to his office, he scolds him for wearing his hat and challenges Fuzzy for it through wrestling.

When the match is about to begin, Fuzzy unfairly brings out his relatives (according to Fuzzy, if you wrestle one of them, you wrestle them all). The mayor chooses, unexpectedly by everyone, Professor Utonium as his help, though he easily gets knocked out by Fuzzy. Then, after the bell had sounded, the Mayor takes a hillbilly beating from Fuzzy and his cousins, and even with some lightning-quick help from the Girls invading the match, things look bleak when Fuzzy squishes him underneath his rear. However, as the Mayor is pinned and the countdown is almost up to "3," Fuzzy dons the Mayor's hat, driving the Mayor berserk and prompting him to kick out at the two-count! Then, he shows few wrestling moves of his own, tackling and hitting Fuzzy. Finally, after landing a belly flop to knock Fuzzy down and out (for a few seconds), the Mayor wins, takes back his precious hat from Fuzzy, and regains his rule of Townsville. And starting out, he asks the girls to help him catch his pig as the episode is about to come to an end.

"Cat Man Do" The Girls save an innocent little Kitty from the clutches of an evil villain. Eventually they learn that Kitty is the true villain when he hypnotizes the Professor in an evil plot to take over the world.

The girls tell a naked Mayor how they rescued him from Mojo Jojo from their point of view.

Bubbles is tired of being treated like a baby. When she tries to become tougher, a more "hardcore" side of her is unleashed. However, she goes too far and even turns against her own sisters

On perhaps one of the hottest days in Townsville, the heat has everyone running for shelter and shade. The sweltering and blazing heat has made life unbearable.

Meanwhile, at the girls' home, the Professor burns himself with his own coffee while thinking about a theory involving force. While the girls are eating breakfast, Buttercup flash cooks their oatmeal with a heat ray and subjects them to serious mouth burns. Of all days, Blossom discovers that she has a new power: ice breath. Despite Bubbles and Buttercup getting annoyed by their lack of such a power, they decide to have a bit of fun with it, even having her icing the entire floor until the professor slips to his dismay. The professor, witnessing this for himself, comes to explain that apart from their standard strength, flight, and laser eye beams, each of the girls have their own unique abilities such as Bubbles speaking Spanish. That settled, the professor makes Blossom promise to not use this newfound ice power unless it was necessary.

Later at school, Bubbles and Buttercup are still deeply annoyed at Blossom's exhibitionism in terms of her ice powers, even when the air conditioner is broken. Ms. Keane asks for the kids to go outside while the mechanic works on their air conditioner, disregarding their safety and protests.

While the kids are all outside in the extreme heat, Blossom is still holding to her promise to avoid using her ice powers until a classmate, Mary, is suffering from heat exhaustion. Bubbles and Buttercup bear witness to this and try to frame Blossom for doing something bad, only to find that the schoolyard has become a frosty oasis. As a call about a robbery comes in, Blossom is left behind at first.

At the crime scene, the girls give chase to a getaway car whose tires succumb to the intense heat of the road. When Blossom catches up, however, she tries to use her ice powers to freeze the perpetrators, except to only help them escape as they skate on the frozen road. Unable to bear the guilt of aiding an escape, Blossom vows to never use her ice powers again.

However, the mayor is observing the skies for a probable source of the intense heat, eventually discovering that a large fireball is on a collision course with Townsville. When Bubbles and Buttercup go to handle it alone, it proves too hot, and the people await their doom. They spend a good amount of time convincing her that her promise to never use her ice powers will cost a great deal of human life, and Blossom uses them to freeze over the fireball enough for all three of them to destroy it.

Having saved Townsville with Blossom's new ice power, the girls bask in otherwise more stable weather. However, Blossom gets a chill from all the cold and starts using fire breath as a replacement.

Elmer Sglue‘s habit of eating paste goes awry when he turns into a giant paste monster after eating paste that became radioactive from a fly. It is up to Buttercup to admit her actions to Elmer by her least favourite way, apologizing.

One otherwise normal day, Mojo Jojo kidnaps the professor from his lab and leaves a note. Upon evaluation of the crime scene, the girls speed to Mojo's lair, but only to have Mojo reveal to them that before the girls were born, he was an ordinary monkey named Jojo who was the Professor's pet.

According to Mojo's accounts, he was well-loved by the Professor until the girls were born. He also goes on to remark that the fallout from the explosion that created the girls also affected him; his Chemical X poisoning was enough to mutate his brain and grant him superhuman intelligence. Over time, however, even as his feats with his new-found intelligence prove impressive, they go unnoticed in contrast to the girls' own powers. The professor's neglect and his own dejection inspired him to take on life as a supervillain, dedicating his life to destroying them and the world along with it.

Though the professor admits that he did have a pet monkey named Jojo, he does not remember much before the girls were born. In an attempt to make amends, the Professor works with Mojo to build a machine capable of giving him superpowers similar to theirs.

Upon having the girls' powers copied into himself, Mojo quickly outmatches the girls using all their own strengths against them, along with his improved brainpower. Soon after dispatching the girls, he plans to use his new powers to rule the world; he even goes so far as to dismantle his laboratory and weaponry, declaring them useless with the advent of his new abilities.

As he watches him destroy things, the professor finally remembers Mojo as his assistant. Contrary to his claim, Mojo was a terrible lab assistant to the Professor who only destroyed everything he touched as Utonium remarks he still hasn't changed as Mojo tries to hide his action. The Professor's accounts were that he eventually got so fed up that he kicked him out the very day the girls were born. Replaying the story, he then remembers that while he was making the concoction, Jojo pushed the Professor in such a way to have him hit the container Chemical X and bring the girls to life in their current form; the Professor realizes that Mojo Jojo himself was responsible for creating the Powerpuff Girls.

Mojo is shocked beyond words at the realization that he created what he despises. The Professor and the girls soon have Mojo's powers removed, as he and the girls leave while calling him family as a taunt. The episode ends with Mojo repeating: It was me.

A new hero, Major Man, arrives in Townsville and plans to steal all of the girls' fame. It's up to the girls to prove to Townsville that Major Man is a phony and that they really are the real superheroes Townsville needs.

When HIM gets jealous of The Powerpuff Girls' constant attention, he invents an evil gas that spreads around Townsville and causes the citizens to turn against the Girls. The Powerpuff Girls eventually realize they have to fight their friends and loved ones to revert them back to their normal selves (but not before warning HIM not to try something like this again, or he'll be sorry).

The Gangreen Gang invade the Mayor's office and begin making prank calls to the Powerpuff Girls, sending the girls on a wild goose chase as they suspect Fuzzy Lumpkins, Mojo Jojo and HIM are committing evil crimes. But when the three villains investigate further, the Gangreen Gang soon find themselves at the end of the villains' wrath.

A local magician named Al Lusion pulls a deathly trick where he comes back from the dead as a zombie to haunt Townsville. The Powerpuff Girls are left to deal with him while he runs around scaring people with his dark magic and exacting his revenge for being mocked and humiliated in his end days.

In "Boogie Frights", the Boogie Man comes up with a plan to forever keep out light in order to operate freely, but the Powerpuff Girls are on the job in a jiffy.

Fuzzy Lumpkins, a strange pink, hillbilly-like monster obsessed with keeping "his property" goes completely insane after a squirrel trespasses on his home and after following it to Townsville causes a massive rampage after everyone touches his stuff. It's up to The Powerpuff Girls to stop him, with some help from the squirrel that caused the whole mess.

"Buttercrush" Buttercup develops a crush on Ace, the leader of the Gang Green Gang. They soon take advantage of this to put Blossom and Bubbles into terrible danger.

The Amoeba Boys’ sleazy plan to stand in front of the warning sign at Townsville Park all night with rain leaves them with a disease. When they infect the Townsville's people, The Powerpuff Girls have to find the antidote.

Blossom and Buttercup's relationship is under strain as a result of Blossom's dogmatic leadership and Buttercup's recklessness. The two begin arguing which in turn causes Bubbles to seek refuge in her doll, Octi starts talking to her. But Bubbles is unaware that the evil villain, HIM, is manipulating them into psychologically destroying the Powerpuff Girls.

A gang of violent crooks uses every resource in the Townsville Jail - including grown-up-sized Powerpuff Girl costumes - to walk right out of captivity and into the local bank, using their Powerpuff privileges to clean out the vault, rip off the jewelry store, and trash the Mayor and his mansion. When Ms. Bellum's suspicion is raised, she tells the Mayor, who misunderstands and has the real Powerpuffs arrested. Ms. Bellum clues the Girls in about the imposters and she tells them that the mayor made a big mistake, and the superheroes bust out to attack the bad guys - as good girls.

Bug-loving loser Roach Coach has devised a plan to take over Townsville—and eventually the world—with his army of cockroaches! However, the girls, despite their fear, feel it's wrong to kill a bug just because you think it's gross, but eventually get over their fears and battle the roaches and win, only to discover that Roach Coach is really a robot-controlled by a cockroach. So, the true Roach Coach ends up jarred and jailed.

In "Mommy Fearest", the Professor falls for a mysterious woman who grounds the girls and bans them from staying up late to save the day. But it turns out that she is one of their many antagonists, Sedusa.

Monkey See, Doggie Do is the series premiere episode of The Powerpuff Girls, the first episode of the first season and the entire series in general. It originally aired on November 18, 1998. Being the official debut of the series, this is also the first appearance of Mojo Jojo.
